One week from Monday my youngest child Matthew will be off to the Army. This is going to be both a sad and wonderful time for me. I will be very sad not knowing when I will see him next and of course that dreadful wondering if he will be sent somewhere like Iraq...Wonderful in the fact that my young son made a very grown up decision to join the Army where he will receive excellent schooling and on the job training in a field that will help him be a productive person in society. Please keep my son in your prayers.
This week I am taking off from Blogging but I will return. Have a very pleasant and blessed week.
Blessings,Joann

Have a great week with your son! We are all proud of him!
ReplyDeleteJoann,
ReplyDeleteWe are also an Army family. My 2 sons are both in Iraq, they have been gone since the first of January. I will be praying for you and your family, and especially your son. This is probably the hardest thing that our family has ever been through. But, I know that God is with them.
Spend as much time as you can with God, Bible reading and prayer. He is always faithful.
Be prepared for sudden bouts of crying, its perfectly normal.
I praise the Lord every day for the internet, we talk almost daily with the boys. Please call on your Family Readiness Group if you need anything. They call frequently to check on me.
Feel free to e-mail me at www.homeskoolmoma45@citlink.net.

Hi Joann
ReplyDeleteMy oldest son just completed AIT(advanced training) and just arrived at his first duty station at Fort Drum NY(we live in the desert southwest)
I agree with you I am so glad that my son made some very responsible decisions...and I find comfort that he is covered by the Blood.
Have a lovely day!
