Getting ready for Matthew's party....

We went shopping this evening for party supplies for Matthew's party. I wanted everything to be red, white and blue. I found tons of things in those colors and this is what we came home with~






I also ordered some balloons, of course I don't have a picture of those yet.

I can't believe how close it is to the time he will actually be leaving. I have tons of things to do before the party. We are doing a real simple dinner of hot dogs, chips, and baked beans. We are also having cake for desert.

Our prayers have been answered about Roger and a job. He starts next Tuesday at a job in Oakland. The pay is really good but the job is only temporary, but we figure maybe this is where the Lord wants us for right now. He will be gone M-F and home on the weekends unless he decides to just commute every day (about a 2 hour commute depending on traffic) I don't like the fact that he will be gone so much. I really do enjoy having him home but after being with no work or money coming in for 5 1/ 2 months we really couldn't pass up this opportunity. If he does decide to stay over there on the weeknights then I think I will make up a list of all the craft projects I want to get done and start working on them while he is gone. It will keep my mind busy and not think of him so much.
